Every Day is a Great Day! with Frank Larson

Frank Larson thought he was going to be a farmer or a pilot, but this Valley City, N.D., native’s path took a very different direction, one that has allowed him to make a difference in countless lives through his work and his giving.

In 1969 Frank became the owner of the First National Bank of Oakes, N.D.

He realized that banking could give him a platform to help people and communities grow. A year later, he purchased a bank in nearby Ellendale and thus began the story of Starion Bank. Today, Starion has grown into a $1.4 billion bank with 16 locations in North Dakota and Wisconsin. Frank has always led with vision and values. Giving back was, and continues to be, a core value at Starion Bank. The bank always has and always will encourage its employees to support causes that are meaningful to them by actively volunteering, even if it’s during work hours, so that they can help make their community a better place.
